I might be late...

So I might be late...but oh well!
I went to Target today as soon as I got off work all excited to see if it was real, and it was, Miss Jessie's was there.  And still the same price :(  Like that was going to change.   Anyways, I am still excited, at least I don't have to order it online, wait a week for it to get here, and pay shipping and taxes, now I just pay taxes.  I have to admit that I have fallen in love with the Stretch Silkening Creme and Curly Meringue for mine and my daughter's twist and braids, and I have been wanting to try the Rapid Recovery so I will be trying that out but not soon.  All their products were on the shelf in the two different sizes and everything was the same price as online, though I was expecting them to be cheaper, now I did ask if there would be a buy one get on free like they do online but I didn't get a straight answer...guess that was a no.

One thing though, the lady stocking said they were getting Jane Carter and Curls also (which is cheaper and on my wanna try list) so I will make sure I check back when that arrives.  She asked me what all the fuss was about cause there were alot of people there on Sunday, I explained that curly heads all over the world (that lived close to a participating Target) were just waiting for this grand appearance.  She wasn't natural so I don't think she cared, plus she had a short cut so there wasn't much she could do with Jessie's, I did recommend she try the shampoo ;)-

There Is No Place Like Home

Just getting back from Las Vegas yesterday, I am jet lagged, and still going off the adrenaline rush of such a busy city.  I had sooo much fun though.  As the man said: it is definitely the city that never sleeps!  My legs are tired from all the walking I did, good thing it is Spring Break here so no work for the rest of the week. One thing though, I did come back with a severe sore throat and a touch of laryngitis, I am sure it was from all the cigarette smoke in all those doggone casinos.  That's right my voice is gone for the second time in the past 2 and a half months, what's up with that?  So...I just had to post a picture of what a beautiful natural in Las Vegas looks like, that's right I rocked my hair in a twist out for the past four days and was loving it. One funny thing, it was so windy on Saturday that my hair was moving in the high winds, LOL!  And yes I got plenty a looks at my big hair, I am sure it was just sheer admiration.
First: a picture of me on front of New York New York hotel.
Second: me in front of The Forum Shops of Caesars Palace (can you say Gucci)
Third: a picture of my sister and me at her beautiful vegas wedding with her beautiful Locs.

Also, I had a video I was working on before I left but did not get a chance to finishe it, so I will surely have it available to view by this evening.

New Do

I have been rockin a micro twist style for the past two weeks and boy have my mornings been great.  Well I had to go to a funeral on Saturday and did not want to wear my regular old twists, plus I have job interview on Monday (whoo hoo) and I wanted a different style since I am not ready to take these out for another week. Thanks to a natural hair blogger ( Leave In The Kinks) I decided to pin in it and see what I could come up with after seeing her do a cute style.  The pictures below show my style off.  I love it, and I got plenty of compliments at the funeral.  My twists are still there all I did was grab a few and make bigger twists then twisted, pinned, and what ever else.  This style will last me until Saturday and then time for a washing  and getting ready for my trip to Las Vegas on the March 12 for my sisters wedding so I can have some big hair.

Natural Gone 80's

So today at school we had a dress up day, and I dressed up in 80's attire.  Each hallway picked a decade, i.e 60's, 70's, 80's etc...My hair was the bomb with a half mohawk going on.  Of  course I thought I was cute, after four days of wearing a twist out my hair was really big ( it stretches out because I retwist every night) and it got many compliments.  Here is a picture of me rockin my legwarmers in front on my coworkers door that she decorated dedicated to Prince. Purple Rain, Purple Rain. Sorry I just love Prince. One of the students even asked if I was Prince.  LOL!!

On another happy note I have my first job interview since I graduated almost twelve months ago.  Wooo Hoo, I am so excited I don't know what to do.  God is just doing some things and I am just going to roll with Him.  I got two job replies in one week.  I was wondering how to wear my hair, I promise I hate to wash my hair and then have to go through the process of twisting my hair again because these days I do not wear wash and goes, just too darn cold.  On the other hand, I surely can't walk in there with some twists in my hair regardless how pinned up they are.  I am scared the wash and go may have to work but before I wash it I will experiment with my big hair, but if push comes to shoove I will  be seeing curls cause I need a J-O-B! What a dilema.  I will post pictures of what ever I decide
