Handmade Ruffle Necklace

I love crafting but can't ever think of things to make plus they can't take longer than three days or I will get bored, so yes I search internet for things to make.  I found this ruffle necklace online and just had to make it. It was so easy and quick and I got plenty of compliments on it at work and at the doctors office.  This was just my first trial necklace so it is nothing fancy, I had a few pearls left over so I just sewed them to the corner,  I will be experimenting over the weekend with some more fabric making a bigger and a little poofier necklace.

Hair update

My hair is still going strong, I am two weeks into my micro twists protection and not even feeling the urge to take them down, probably because I am so tired.  I have been using my oil mixture for my scalp and the Taliah Waajid Protective Mist Bodifier to freshen my twists in the morning, I think that is the best product she has ever made. My coworker gave me a bottle of Organic Root Stimulator Herbal Cleanse Dry Shampoo so I will be giving that a try over the weekend, I will surely let you know how that turns out.  Here are some pictures.

 Still hanging in there :)

Finished Hair

I finally finished my daughters hair today and it took me approximately 4 hours to do her hair, wow.  She thinks she is too cute.

Sneak Peak at my Big Girls hair

As I said earlier school is starting back on Monday and we are protective styling over here.  I got my micro twists and I have started on my Big Girl's hair, she is very excited to have her hair like her mommy's and I am excited to not have to do her hair in the mornings.  She started off with a good shampoo and then a DC of my coconut milk conditioner mix and sat under the dryer for about 30 minutes, her hair was super soft after that treatment,  I am sure her cuticles were thanking me.  For her twists I just used my super soft shealoe mixture that gives great shine and hold and not to mention how soft it leaves the hair.  Here are a few pictures of her hair partway finished.

What's in your purse?

I know I just did a post but my  Baby Girl is sitting beside me playing in her purse and I just have to tell what she has in it: sunglasses, two remote controls, a walkie talkie, two wallets, some change (she spent her money), and keys, and yes she carries it with her everywhere we go.  She is so cute and a hot mess at times but you gotta love her.

Back to school...back to work

I am ready for work, I put my twists in Friday and I am ready to begin my morning routine which does not include fixing my hair.  I went ahead and put in my micro twists which are going to last me four weeks cause I am not an early morning person.  My plan is to keep these in for a month then take them out and do a henna (maybe bentonite clay, cause I have been researching that) and then retwist.  I am determined to follow this routine until December which my 7 year old will be part of too just without the clay treatment, I haven't twisted her hair yet, I may do it Saturday so it will be nice and fresh for school on Monday.

I am also on the hunt for some kind of natural hair products for my 4 year old, lately I have been using Taliah Waajid hair care line for her but have not really seen a difference in her hair. She has a lot of hair but the strands are very fine. I need something that will keep the moisture in between washes and soft enough to comb because my poor baby is super tenderheaded and hates seeing the brush coming. Seriously, have you ever seen such big patches of two different hair types.

I have read many different reviews of Bee Mine and want to definitely give that a try as soon as I get paycheck, I have also read about Curl Harmony and of course everyone knows Blended Beauty( I tried them a long time ago but don't remember the results), I am definitely leaning towards Bee Mine, I wish they had free samples.  I don't use too much heat in their hair unless it is picture day, and don't want to keep straightening her hair, do you know how much work that is :( , I am up for any suggestions.
