(Last ) Weekend hair and stuff

Last weekend was so busy that I did not get to post what I did to my hair, which was alot.

Getting right to it...

I colored it...

                                                        ...compared to this red, it is gone.

I used Clairol Natural Instincts 21G Caramel Creme and I have to say I was not going to color it just cut the red off, but I know good and well I was not cutting so the next thing was to color and I love how the results turned out.  The dye brand was great my hair was so soft after my deep conditioning session under the dryer (not that it was dry before) and it is still rocking that softness today as I type.  I haven't washed it since, but that will be happening maybe next Tuesday night before Thanksgiving, I am looking  for a good color shampoo, thinking about trying Loreal Sulfate Free shampoo for color treated hair.  

I also bought Shea Moisture Restorative Conditioning Milk, I used it as a leave in a on top of my coconut oil and castor oil mix, man that layer rocks together, my hair loved it (I seriously think that is why my hair is so soft) I used the conditioning milk twice more this week during my nightly retwisting. If you have not found Shea Moisture it is a must try the three products I use so far are great.

Now I must vent:

I am so loving my hair and how it is growing and maturing, I am not concerned with length cause I got it you just can't see it.  I love my hair and all it's glory and love wearing it big and wild and I think it likes to be, during the day it seems to grow a little more until at the end of the day it looks like this...

but it was so soft with lots of movement. 

She even got a compliment tonight.

Shea Moisture Organics video review

This is my review on Shea Moisture Organics Curl Enhancing Smoothie from Target.  No, I did not buy it to enhance my curls, I bought it strictly for moisture.  I really like it.  I usually don't buy instore hair products over $10 but my natural friend girl bought it and liked it-she said it left her hair really soft so I decided to try it.  My twist out has been the best it has ever been...seriously!  Great moisture and softness without ANY crunchiness at all.  Check out the video for more information. Mind you day two hair was achieved using the Shea Moisture and Jessicurl Confident Coils for hold.

My Best Twist Out Ever and Jessicurl

I know I was supposed to keep my twists in for the whole week, but the weather was so nice here that I had to do it, I had to take them down.  I had the best twist out ever, with definition and everything. 
 The results are like Magic!  I really like the Jessicurl, I think out of all of the products I have (courtesy of Newlynatural) this is the best.  Everyone knows I love big hair and this just gave me the go ahead, not to mention all the compliments I have been getting and getting the "Big Head" with it. Hopefully it can last a little while longer, the big Rajun Cajun Crawfish Festival will be here on Sunday and I would love to rock this look down on the river while I eat my mud-bugs. I Got Big Hair

I love my hair today, it was big. I have been wearing a twist out for the past two weeks with a cowash in between, re-twisting every night except for last night when I said forget it and put on a satin cap and went to bed. The results this morning were great, I was expecting more flatness but was pleasantly surprised that I had only a little, I put some oil/shea butter on my hair and fluffed and was out the door. I loved my big hair today and got several good comments on it.

One funny thing: I knitted a scarf on my loom, thinking my hair was going too big, I made a big hat to fit over my expanding hair, when I put it on I was cracking up laughing. I guess I will take it a loose a make a smaller one. Anyways enjoy the pics below.

Hairstylin and profilin

Here are a few pics of my hair now. Friday I took my twists out and have been rocking a twist out for the past few days. It is definitely in need of a wash but every time I say I am going to wash it something else comes up: ballet classes on Monday, open house at school Tuesday and Wednesday I have Bible studies, can't skip out on that. I guess I will have to wait until Thursday. I am so ready to wash and clarify, I had great results with that.

I am also working on a video update, hopefully it will be ready by this weekend, which I will be busy again, my church is doing a 5k walk that I am part of. so as soon as it is ready I will post it, until then enjoy the pics. These pictures were taken on Friday afternoon, now that the style is older it has gotten even cuter, I will take pictures on tomorrow so you can see the difference. I ran across these pictures I forgot I took the other day. I took down my twists on Wednesday morning and wore a twist out, I thought they would flatten when I slept on them but they didn't. The next day my twist out still looked fresh so I took some pictures.
