I made baby burp clothes/changing pads for all the little ones and I love the way they turned out. When my 13 year old sewing machine works right I can make some cute things.

Protective style
Forgot to post pictures of my girls protective style. It has already been one week, I think I will redo the little ones twists only but big girl can definitely go another week or two. This is the first time I have done little twists on the baby girls hair and they are holding up fairly well considering she does not sleep with a cap but she does sleep on a satin pillowcase.
Big girl is enjoying her hairstyle, we will definitely do hets again but in a different design.

Race for the Cure
So I thought I would share what I did this morning.
Race for the Cure is a walk/fundraiser to benefit breast cancer just in case you did not know. Here in Memphis we have a great time every year at the walk. Just thought I would post a pic of all the people in front of me, no telling how many people were behind me.
It took a whole hour to walk three miles, but it was great.
My love goes out ro all the breast cancer survivors and families who have lost loved ones. Special love goes out to my Aunt Carolyn.

Life
So I have been going through so much these past few months on every type of level and just wanted to say hello.
HELLO! (waving)
I am not going to get into all the 411 but just to tell you to please keep me in your prayers.
Hair has surely been the last thing on my mind especially after that last hair raising story about the beauty shop. But the owner did call me back after my sis in law showed her the pictures of my hair, she offered me a discount on my next styling session and we even talked about me bringing in some of my hair products to help with the process (smiles).
Even with all that is going on I have still been making jewelry for Etsy, please stop by and look around when you get the chance, etsy.com/shop/abenis, I got some cute Basketball Wives earrings coming up shortly.
Needless to say until all is well with my soul I will not be doing much blogging except to post a pic or two. I haven't even checked into blogger to check out the friends I follow in forever, probably missed all sorts of giveaways. Anyways, continue blogging and hope to see you guys soon, enjoy some pics below.

First salon visit in three years
Jewelry overload
I feel like we need more hours in the day for real. I have been so busy making jewelry and getting orders out that I have not had time for much else. I did a jewelry show with my sister in law a few weeks ago that turned out pretty good, since that day I have been busy: earrings, bracelets, headbands oh my!!
With all the orders going on it left me little time for family and other ,even late nights, while I don't mind the night time cause I am always up anyways, I do mind the working to get orders ready, I would rather be watching t.v. I love making jewelry and other crafts but only for fun and on my own time, it is definitely relaxing and I would never give up some peace. Now it's just like a second job...
I decided to just keep my Etsy going and what ever extra thingies I make it will be posted there, and for my customers who just have to have something special made, they know how to reach me.
With all that said...Friday I went to a new store in the mall called Love Culture and fell in love with it, the prices were just right clothes wise, the only bad thing is that they do not carry tall in pants and my long legs can't fit any other length. Anyways my little sis and I love jewelry so when we saw that big section we had a fit. I saw this one cute necklace that was just adorable then I realized "hey I got all those same items at home to make this necklace", sooo I took a picture of it and when I got home I made it. Turned out great and can't wait to wear it.

Big Girls protective style for the week
I hope this style lasts for at least 2 weeks. It was most definitely time for the mohawk to come down and be on to another style. So we shampooed and I came up with this, nothing fancy I have seen several girls with this style, the only thing different is that I did the ends in ghana plaits with the weaving thread. The extra hair I wrapped into a ball and added a hairbow. I love it and so does Big Girl.
Next "project" is Baby Girls hair (yes her hair is a project)
Have a great weekend!

Triple A and Fashion Fun Friday
As I mentioned before I have an Etsy shop and I am enjoying making things for it. Feel free to stop by and shop when you get a chance.
Here are a few pics of items that I have left over, I thought I would share them with you. I hope to have them posted in the shop tonight.
Ghana plaits on Baby Girl
So much has been going on: hair, jewelry, home, etc...
Last weekend I did Ghana plaits on my Baby Girls hair cause I was just tired of dealing with her hair every morning, plus the day I washed I just knew I was not going to have time to blow dry then flat iron so she ended up with this style which turned out so cute.

Twice Is Nice...and A Surprise Coming
Anyways, on to my post. I did a hot oil treatment and washed my hair tonight once again using the Aphogee products: shampoo for damaged hair, moisturizing balancing conditioner, 2 minute Keratin treatment, and the provitamin leave in. I then twisted while damp using my shea butter moisturizer and watered down Giovanni direct leave in. I plan on doing the same moisturizing regimen I used this past week, alternating my products that include Carols's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter, I could definitely tell a difference in how moisturized my hair was on this wash day. I do still plan on buying the Kera Care Butter Cream or the As I Am Double Butter as soon as I can, I know I liked the Butter Cream better than the Double Butter so I think that may be the one I purchase along with the Hair Milk for my daughter.
I surely saw a difference in the my hair shed from either breakage of regular shedding. I detangled a different way this time and I think I will do a video on that next week when I wash again. This was also my first time using the Keratin conditioner and I loved the way my hair felt afterwards, it was so soft. Can't wait to see the results in the morning after I untwist, stay tuned for pictures.
Also guys stay tuned for a surprise first thing in the morning...good night!

Hair Today...again
So glad that my hair can make it into a ponytail now, this style was the result of my twistout from yesterday, retwisted last night. I started with my hair just pulled back in the front then decided to make a ponytail cause it is kind of humid. I think it's cute, I think I'll do it again tomorrow too. Enjoy!

Hair Today
Here is a picture of my hair today. Twist out using my homemade shea butter mix and Carols Daughter hair butter. My hair turned out great: soft with body and movement.
Also enjoy a picture of earrings I just made.
