A "Littlre" Natural Cuteness

I finally got to Baby Girls hair, it was a wonderful feeling.  It took me about a whole days time to get those micro braids out of her hair, surprisingly she had a good amount of growth. I shampooed, deep conditioned and styled in two strand twists they should last through the week if up in a ponytail.
Here's what I did
Shampoo: Taliah Waajid Black Earth Shampoo (diluted)
Conditioner: Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner
DC: Organics Hair Mayonnaise mixed with a little Vatika Oil
Leave In; Kimmay's Leave In Conditioner
Style: Miss Jessie's Curly Meringue (cause I have a little left that I'm really trying to use up)

That's momma's baby.

Todays Braidout

So here are some pictures of my hair today, I re-braided last night as I do every night ( I never sleep with my hair out unless I am washing the next morning).  I lightly misted with my water, glycerin and jojoba oil mix and added a little more leave in then braided with Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Cream, I like the silkiness of that stuff.  I un-braided this morning and voila, enjoy.

I finally started the take down of my Hannah's hair, this is going to take a few days and we are both definitely dreading this.  I only took three rows out tonight before she started complaining, mind you this is the tender-headed one who cries when you tell her to go get the hair container.  Gotta love her though, I will post picture of our process tomorrow.

Getting My Sew On

So I have been alittle busy with my sewing machine lately, here are a couple of things I have been working on.  A dress and a top made out of the best material and cutest pattern.  They are both tube tops, the dress has a tie wrapped under the bust area and the shirt can be worn with the tie in the same place and low on the waist, it is definitely cute with a pair of skinny jeans
Excuse the quality, I had my daughter take the picutres :)  Enjoy!

Long time coming and Zumba

It's been a long time coming and my girls are finally back home two weeks early.  Don't even ask!!  They were supposed to be home on July 6, but they got back yesterday.  My mom drove all night for 9 hours with four little girls all under 8 in the car, she is a brave one.  They made it safely.
Next subject.
Their hair has been in a protective style for three weeks and all I could think about before going to sleep Sunday night was how I can't wait to get into their heads.  Surprisingly when I saw their hair it was still kind of decent, and I use that word lightly because I can't stand for my girls hair to look frizzy and messy, sorry that's just me.  So sometime this week I will be taking their styles down, which are just micro braids, ugghh, taking all volunteers cause this is going to be a job.
Oh yeah, and I have started taking Zumba classes, yes I have and I love it.  OMG, it is ridiculously fun!  I even dragged my best girlfriend, who loves to work out, to a class and she has fallen in love too.  Everyone is like why are you taking Zumba (I wear a size 6/8), I tell them for cardiovascular reasons and after two kids my stomach is not flat anymore,  I would definitely love that gone.
I will definitely post pictures of the hair transformations or maybe even do a vidoe, we'll see.  Until then, holla!

Makeover

While my babies are gone I decided to redecorate their room, my four year old does not like to keep her room clean so I moved her over to her sisters room cause the oldest is not going there with her.  Hopefully they enjoy spending time together.  Here are a few pictures of the room not completely finished, still have to get new curtains and blinds.  Enjoy!

Hair Epiphany...or something like that

I was just sitting back wondering (cause I got so much time on my hands), is it better to wear my wash n go for the summer or twists? I say this because I was noticing how hot it is here and my hair could surely use some water in it right now and I surely don't want to wash my hair for fear that it will frizz up something awful and then my twists will be a loss. I am not ashamed to say I have 4a/b hair and it loves water, it just comes alive when when the water hits it, I love it. I think what is going to happen is after two weeks I will take my twists out and enjoy letting my hair be free, I haven't done that in a while, I wonder how much it will expand after a week. It's truly amazing how much you miss your hair when it is protected and when it is out you are constantly thinking you need to protect it. I will never understand.
