Baby, Baby...

NO not me silly, but I know so many people who are with child including my lil sis who is due in about 8 more weeks. Not to mention my girls Godmother who lives in Alabama, we will be traveling there this weekend for the baby shower. Which leads me to the reason for this post.
I made baby burp clothes/changing pads for all the little ones and I love the way they turned out. When my 13 year old sewing machine works right I can make some cute things.

Medium burp cloths or large burp cloths
that can be used as changing pads
for those public restrooms
that you aren't so sure of or
wherever you may need it.

 Medium burp cloths

Large burp cloth or changing pad.  They are all
underlined with a coordinating
cotton burp cloth and thread.

Teddy Bear is my fave. They all have a
matching decal on them.

And they all fold so they fit compactly in the diaper bag.

I have one more to make, hopefully I get it done by tomorrow. I also made a t-shirt scarf out of a shirt that shrunk a little, too tired to take a pic though, maybe tomorrow.

Protective style

Forgot to post pictures of my girls protective style. It has already been one week, I think I will redo the little ones twists only  but big girl can definitely go another week or two. This is the first time I have done little twists on the baby girls hair and they are holding up fairly well considering she does not sleep with a cap but she does sleep on a satin pillowcase.
Big girl is enjoying her hairstyle, we will definitely do hets again but in a different design.

Race for the Cure

So I thought I would share what I did this morning.
Race for the Cure is a walk/fundraiser to benefit breast cancer just in case you did not know. Here in Memphis we have a great time every year at the walk. Just thought I would post a pic of all the people in front of me, no telling how many people were behind me.
It took a whole hour to walk three miles, but it was great.
My love goes out ro all the breast cancer survivors and families who have lost loved ones. Special love goes out to my Aunt Carolyn.

Another Room Makeover

I decided it was time to redo my girls bathroom from the purple fairies that my hubby put up as a surprise and I never really had the desire to take down, to something alittle more chic.  Not to mention their bathroom is the guest bathroom too so it is time for a change.  So here is the wreath that I made last night to get the project on the roll, I think it turned out so cute.  I will be making, or rather DIY'ing mostly everything in the bathroom so as I make I will post.  Lord only knows how long this will take.

I love the zebra stripes and the flowers, the blue looked so lonely together so I added a white flowers and the feathers just pulled it all together.
